ED Seizes Anil Ambani’s Ultra-Luxury Mumbai Home Worth ₹3,716 Crore amid RCOM Probe

The Enforcement Directorate moves against Anil Ambani’s ultra-luxury Mumbai residence ‘Abode’ as part of a major PMLA investigation.

In a major rise of its ongoing financial investigations, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has joined the ultra-luxury Mumbai residence “Abode,” owned by industrialist Anil Ambani. The case is under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The high-end property is located in Mumbai and estimated to be worth ₹3,716 crore. It turns out to be the most costly private residential assets in India.
In the same process, a part of the Mumbai property titled as ‘Abode’, worth ₹473.17 crore, had been attached by ED. The ED action Anil Ambani Mumbai house PMLA case is based on the First Information Report registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation against RCom, Mr. Ambani etc. As alleged, RCom and its group organization had taken loans from domestic and foreign lenders, of which a total amount of ₹40,185 crore is outstanding.
ED officials on Wednesday said, “ED investigation has revealed that among other assets, the Pali Hill property was aggregated into the RiseE Trust – a private family Trust of the members of Mr. Anil Ambani’s family. This was done to make it appear as though Mr. Anil Ambani is not involved”.
The official of ED also added that Enforcement Directorate action 2026 has exposed that among other assets, the Pali Hill property was combined into the RiseE Trust – a private family Trust of the members of Mr. Anil Ambani’s family. It was completed to make it appear as though Mr. Anil Ambani is not involved.
According to the agency, the planned effect of the business restructuring was to make sure wealth protection and resource generation by aggregation of the property in the RiseE trust and shield it from the personal liabilities of Mr. Ambani in the form of personal guarantees extended by him to lender banks against the loans approved to RCom.
